Well since I have multiple releases coming out on multiple record labels on 25 different stores I thought I'd give you guys some FREE professional advice for those who seek to be electronic musics Gods!
So yeah I will answer any questions that you guys feel like asking (About electronic music production of course!)
but!
Here are some simple things I'd thought I'd throw down so I don't get BS questions.
Q: What Program do you use?
A: I personally use Ableton Live 8 .. But Logic Pro, Pro tools, Reason 5, and Cubase are great!
Q: FL studio?
A: Do NOT ... I repeat NOT Use this ... It totally sucks and is not on any kind of professional level!
A little bit on drums...
When your doing your drums always create separate channels for each of the elements ...
For example: Make one channel for your Kick,Snare,Hats, and percussion
Do different compression on each ... Compress the hell out of your snare and Kick but not so much on your hats, percussion ...
Eqing Drums: Always Raise the Higher end of your hats and percussion ... Since Metal hitting has a frequency response starting in the thousands ... Start your Eqing around 1k and work up .. Do this at a Wide Q and a Nice DB Raise!
Take out some of the Bass in your kick drum so it doesn't muddy up with your bass later in the track
Raise the low end punch and the high end crack of your snare! (You will have to figure out the perfect Q, freq, and range on your own since all samples differ)
I will continue this tomorrow I'm really tired and probably like 10 people will read this and only 1 will take something from it so ...
I will make it look better tomorrow and I will continue the topic and answering stuff is interest is shown ... If not I'll just stop!
Thanks for reading if you did and please ask questions if you have any, because I love to help new producers reach their dreams!
Peace!
