Well it bit me in the ass because my computer now knows that the serial key was a illegal one and keeps on saying i have to buy a genuine version.. Anyone know how to fix it? I have a legit serial number on my laptop for windows home.

hey m8 your not ****ed ive been running ungenuine windows sence 7 came out it tells me that all the time
you are safe
but in order to fix it you will need a genuine copy of windows disc or downloaded from ms and a legit serial just overwrite the bootleged with the legit it will take care of your problems
