Story-line
The movie has three main characters, which are Graeme Willy (Simon Pegg) and Clive Collings (Nick Frost) who we have seen in other movies such as 'Hot Fuzz' and 'Shaun of the Dead' and also Paul (The alien, voiced by Seth Rogen).

Graeme Willy and Clive Collings, complete sci-fi geeks, both set of on a road trip to Comicon (A comic convention) in the USA and the also go visit the UFO Heartland of the States.
After traveling for a few days they accidently bump in to Paul (the alien). They are both stunned at first but he ask's them for their help and the both agree.

SO they have try and get up North so Paul can return to his home planet but unknown by both geeks the federal agents are chasing after them and they soon realize and have a few close encounter with the government. They also manage to pick up a Heavy God Believing Woman (Kristen Wiig) that Paul manages to convince that God did not make the world or the universe.

They Then get a few bumps and hitches along the way. I will not spoil the ending for you guys because there is a twist in the tail of the story.

So In my opinion this movie is really funny throughout with great punch-lines but is lead off towards the end but still manages to keep the viewer interested. The story line is a little complicated and could confuse some viewers but you will still understand the ending after a brief thought.

So I would recommend this to Pegg and Frost fans or if you liked 'Hot Fuzz' and 'Shaun Of the Dead' but if your not into comedy (especially there style) I would play it safe and watch something you can guarantee to like.

I've heard about it and heard some reviews about that it is harsher towards Christianity and religion over all. One of my buddies is a theist and I was curious to if you think he would be fine with it.

I just don't want to be watching it with him laughing while he is cringing, know what I mean?[/img]
