(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I Need to get splitters for my HDPVR to work, i would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me where to get splitters, (I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) and send me a picture of what i need to get in specific. I really need this, otherwise me getting my HDPVR was pointless. So I'd really like it if someone could help me, thanks

im assuming your using this pvr to record gaming? well in the box comes a double sided cable . ok well the ps3/xbox hd component cables you put it on the back on the pvr . In the input part of the the pvr . now the double sided pvr cable goes from the pvr to the tv into the output . You set it up on your console and that is it . Splitters are unnecessary unless you have a dazzle or something .

Splitters just in case: You must login or register to view this content.

Thanks, and yeah, i did all of that, but i guess my TV doesn't respond to the HD Component cables like it's supposed to, and only responds to the AV cables. I have the Red, White, Red, Blue, Green slots in the back fo my tv, but it just doesn't work ... but my TV is crap and not HD, but the guy i bought it from wasn't on a HD Tv, so i don't know the problem here... i have my HD Component cables and all... i'm just gonna do this over and see if it works. Could it be that my tv is only 480p? :/

if your tv is an rca model tv it will not work at all . You need a HD Tv in order to use an HD pvr . The pvr is POINTLESS if your tv is not hd . I recommend 2 things 1. get a hd tv ( ive seen some going for as low as 170) 2. return your pvr and get a dazzle then render your vids in hd . However it will never compare to a pvr.

At least I can fight
Do NOT get a Dazzle. Keep your HD PVR. Don't get splitters either. The quality of the signal drops a lot when it is split.

If your TV has component inputs, then it should work.

  • Make sure the PVR is ON. No image will be displayed if it isn't on.
  • Make sure you are not outputting in 1080p from your game console. The HD PVR only goes up to 1080i. Output in 720p though; it looks the same and the file sizes will be a lot smaller.
  • Make sure you are on the correct video channel on your TV.
  • If you are using a universal video cable, make sure you unplug it from every console except for the console you are using.
  • Make sure EVERY cable is in securely and don't mix the cables up.

It should go: CONSOLE> Component cables> HD PVR> Component cables >TV

Also... try outputting in 480i or 480p and see if you see anything. Your TV may support the component slots, but it may not support High Definition.

PLEASE quote me and tell me if any of these worked! Thanks
