I think you may not have to go to summer school, but since you failed the regents they (school or who ever) probably want you to learn it again before taking the test again. To try to ensure you pass.

I live in Ny too dude, I took the ES Regents and Algebra a few weeks ago, I know for math that there is a retake in August but im not sure for ES, I got an 88 on the Es one, You shouldnt have to go to summer school because you failed one test, as long as you pass the class itself you're fine.

i just found out tht earth science regents is not requirement for a regular high school diploma but for advanced regents diploma y would i ahve to go to summer school for the exam i dnt really need it for the regular high schol diploma

I scored a 92 on ES and 95 on Algebra and passed both.
