The Supreme Court :fyea:

The high court upheld a federal appeals court decision to throw out the state's ban on the sale or rental of violent video games to minors. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Sacramento said that the ban of selling of violent video games violated the First Amendment and the high court went ahead and agreed with it

At least I can fight
That's good. I got Grand Theft Auto 3 when I was in 1st grade. My mom originally wouldn't let me have it. She let my dad test the game out to see if it was okay. He loved it, so that meant it was okay to play lol and if I could have it, he could play it. Smile

I was like the only kid I knew that could have it. And I didn't turn out to be a monster... I'm nice to pretty much everybody I think (except, I do like to cuss out some people when I play online video games because it is pretty funny). But yeah in the end, violent video games don't turn people into monsters. I wouldn't hurt anybody in real life... but in a video game I would have no trouble hitting a midget with a baseball bat. And that's a good thing. Whenever somebody has the urge to kill something, they can just do it in a video game.

It's good.

Got an Email from the ECA saying that today they also voted 7 to 2 that books, music, movies, and VIDEO GAMEs ARE PROTECTED by the First Amendment as an act of Free Speech and Expression, and therefore cannot be censored here in the United States.

Means developers can continue making games with the mission like MW2 had where you got to kill the civilians in the Russian Airport, and FSP, GTA's, etc can continue to be made and sold here in the United States.

I think it's good this got shot down.

Here is a news article on the matter that better describes the whole thing, as a lot of members here have no idea of the bullet that was just dodged by the video gaming, book, music, and movie industry and communities...

Why they classify it as PS3 news is beyond me, as this spans across ALL gaming platforms. Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, Mobile Phones, Tablets, PC, MAC, etc.
