According to the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index in 2009, about 63.1% of Americans are now overweight or obese. This can be credited to people eating less healthy and exercising less. It sounds really basic, but it affects a VERY large amount of people and is a problem that needs to be dealt with. This affects me as well since almost everyone on my mom's side of the family has had at least one heart attack. I have to watch what I eat, and exercise regularily just to make sure my own genetics don't catch up with me. The thing is with being overweight, you can lose it! In this thread I will go over some basic concepts and terms so you will hopefully have a better understanding of how to be healthier.
