Haters Gonna Hate
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright I know that almost everyone is probably not from California so they don't care about this but what happened was that the supreme court got rid of the law that made it illegal for minors to purchase 17+ games such as COD, Do you guys think this would be a good change or bad? With your response keep in mind that this could spread to the whole US or world.

Whats your opinion?

I think regardless of laws that kids will always play what they choose to play but at least with laws that restrict purchasing the parents have to get involved and know what their kids are up to.

Foolish. Most 17 year olds aren't even mature enough to be playing on a network where they can talk to other people, let alone people that are younger, and don't even get me started on ten year olds playing M rated games.

I'm 16 and for the most part I smooth talk my way into buying M games, although next month I will be old enough to purchase legally without an adult.

The rating is put there as an advisory of for what age group should be playing and thus people within that range are allowed to buy. Those who do not meet the age requirement must have a parent or guardian to approve the purchase of such material.

M games are for all users, they just require you to be 17 or older to purchase or 16 and younger with parental consent.

-------
Personally, I know some 14 year olds who are more mature than many of the 20 year olds on these games. Age doesn't matter, what matters is if a person can control themselves. ... I'm not saying that all these kids are more mature but there are a few.

I understand that age is just a number, and it is something I strongly believe in. There are those younger people who do shine. However, for the most part, they are represented by immaturity.

"I will speak ill of
I honestly think people are being selfish in their opinion of this.

"Well I hater when I come across a little kid in COD", yeah that sucks but guess what they have the right to play. Anyways, I enjoyed the law. I myself am 16, but for the most part handle myself very maturely. The point was so that minors having little rights as is, have to go through parents to purchase games. I thought it was sensible as I don't think it right for a 7 year old to walk in and buy GTA.

I guess at least I can buy any game I want now thought /shrugs shoulders

True true. Well, all we can do for now is just press the mute button. I just wish more of these kids would grow up and realize that it is a game they are playing, it's not like they are actually being shot at. :/

all of my games are mature 17+ and I've always bought them by myself without a parent. my parents know what i play though and they don't mind it. and as long as your not a little kid or not mature enough to handle some violence, then i don't think there is any wrong in playing M games,

I live across the globe, but I think it's a good law, because their parents would buy games for them anyway.
