So if you're a die hard Assassins Creed fan you know the setting is Masyaf home of the Assasin order. So basically the game will take place in the middle east (DUH!) but it will also take you to Masyaf. More than likely there is an artifact there left behind by Altair.

Oh one more thing. At the end before Ezio is "executed" you see and hear the eagle; meaning leap of faith. Now in the first game during the siege on Masyaf you jump from there meaning Ezio is safe. As always.
