(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); A man called Handl from Sweden, has been arrested by authorities after attempting to split atoms up in his kitchen - to try and make his own nuclear reactor.

Handl had been attempting his experiments for months before, but only recently began to think his activities maybe illegal. So he questioned police on this subject and hours later he was raided by police and arrested for possession of nuclear materials.

Radioactive materials - for those chemistry boffins here - recovered from his home included radium, americium and uranium. Although Handl mean't no harm in his project, he could still face up to 2 years in prison if he is convicted later this year. What do you think though, is he a real danger to us and should be locked up? Or has his curiosity just got the better of him?

He was released. I actually knew he would get released because he meant no harm. He says he was released in his blog if you scroll down a bit.

I read it. "but I was released after a hearing". Okay hes still a suspect of crime.

If this guy can get nuclear materials so easy imagine what terrorists have.....
