Ah...I know that feeling. It's a boulder of regret and lament on your shoulders...It's terrible. I suppose it serves as a testament to the cliche though, make the most of what you have while it lasts, as you will never truly appreciate it until it's gone or beyond your control.
Well, I came out with some recovery, at the end of Sophomore year I ended up with a 2.5, Junior year thanks to good grades I got it to about 2.80, (Would be higher but I failed a final and dropped 2 letter grades). Now this year, it's make or break. If I can get that 3.0 I'm guaranteed to get into the CSU as long as I give them my ACT or SAT scores and they are at a certain level. (Which shouldn't be too hard).
Ehh, if all else fails, I can resort to what most my school is doing and go to a Junior college for a year or two and get a transfer, although that would only add a couple more years to get what I want to get.
Most people believe that just because you transfer from 2 years that you automatically have 2 years of college out and you are done, no you go from the 2 years to having to do another 4 years if you want that nice degree. The Junior college offers only so much at certain levels, when you get to college they will make you retake those in more advance classes that actually go over everything at a proper level + all the other requirements that are required to get that degree.
