If this was happening in Scotland it would be Scottish Riots, not UK riots! The same goes for Wales and Northern Ireland.

Everytime it is on the news it is UK riots and its getting pretty annoying.

The reason people are saying UK riots is because they're popping up without warning so it's easier to generalise, especially as other countries such as USA rarely know the difference between United Kingdom, Great Britain, British Isles, England etc. so it's easier to simply say UK. Besides, they're not wrong, all the riots are happening within the boarders of the UK, so don't pretend it's inaccurate, it's not... and yes, I'm just as disgusted by these riots as you all are. Many websites and news stations are still calling them the "London Riots". Give it time and there will likely be some opportunists in Scotland, Wales and NI if the rioting continues. Hell, they where rioting in Birkenhead which is 11 miles from the Welsh boarder, at this point I wouldn't assume anywhere is safe.

As if Scotland wasn't bad enough, Glasgow is probably the number one place in Britain for violence and to be fair i've only heard them call it the London riots.

I understand how you might feel like that.
If rioting was to break out in Washington DC and spread to nearby cities, the world would refer to them as American riots.
Being an American, I would want them called DC riots.
