I am concerned about the screen I am putting in the console. From what I have heard is that the glass may break from heat/cold? Should I have a heater/cooler running on a separate battery?

LCD's are designed to be able to work properly between 10F and 122F. Any lower or hotter and they will malfunction and possibly break. You live In Georgia Coltz, it doesn't get any lower then 30 there, you should be fine.
