Tribute To The UK Riots - August 2011

Lets take a little time to think about the events which took place from the 9th August - 19th August 2011.

it was a tragic moment people may say, damage was caused.. people were hurt in these events, but lets take time to think about them people who where effected people who felt the full force of what happened, people who's lives got ruined and effected hard by this.

i was certainly not against the rioters, but i was against the fact they where damaging other people's life who had done nothing.. if you want to take it out on someone then do it to the people who caused all of this, in that case the police.. not young, old innocent people who's lives have been effected by it, do not take it out on the British civilians.

here a few images of the events which took place between 9th August - 19th August 2011.

between the 9th August and the 19th August more than 20,000 police have been working 12+ hours to try protect our streets, but we can now say everything is shaping up. hopefully this won't happen again, because as the UK we need to come together and be a lot stronger in these situations.

also, i would like to give a little time to Richard Bowes, aged 68 who was fatally beaten up to death after trying protect his and his family's property.

Rest in Peace Richard Bowes.

I don't feel there should be any sort of tribute, it's in the past and lets keep it that way

that completely true, but it's not for the roit.. it's for the people who were effected by the riots, that guy who lost his life, the family which lost a father. them people.

These ****s deserve to be castrated so they can never reproduce. Hopefully then the country would get back on track.

Unfortunately, that's never going to happen. Instead, out of the people caught, because let's face it, they're not all going to prison, they should have ALL their benefits taken away forever, sacked from jobs (LOL, if they have one) and make it near impossible for them to get a job. This way, the country isn't paying these dicks to **** shit up, steal shit and get PAID to do so by tax payers. Even if they have a kid to try and swing it and get benefits. Would serve the ****s right for thinking they are big men. Hopefully that, or some of that, happens.

I think this shows that police are always under too much scrutiny no matter what they do. They injury someone, they get ****ed over by the media and possibly lose their job depending on the seriousness. They don't do anything, they get ****ed over by the media for not doing their jobs. They can't win, and that's why shit like this happens. It took 3 days for the government to decide to use rubber bullets, by that time the violence had pretty much stopped. Why 3 days? It should have been done on the first, possibly caused less violence, killings and destruction. The police are undermanned to deal with it effectively. Hell, even rival football fans united as one to help the police. Now that says something to me, considering one minute they want to beat each other up and the next they are mates, even if it's 1/2 days.

And David Cameron STILL wants to cut the police down. What's his IQ? 2?

Bit of a rant, hopefully someone read it.

In a nutshell, the UK is f**ked.

It'll never get back on track for as long as these unelected loonies in the government are in power, cutting all services and stuff to line their pockets whilst still kowtowing to faceless power-hungry loons in Brussels with billions of pounds to be members of a "fourth reich", money better spent on proper policing and services (not to forget the messed up economy!) that would sort this out once and for all. With that, these rioters will keep going, because the deterrant is not severe enough. Who's been a naughty boy then? That'll be a "slap on the wrist", i.e. a paltry telling off or even a small fine, don't do it again!

Years ago the police could clip them around the ear. But no the faceless pen-pushers pushed this human rights bollocks, and governments of the past bent over backwards to accept it.

Sod them all, BRING BACK CAPITAL PUNISHMENT! The only thing these young rioters understand is the short, sharp shock. These just is no discipline these days.

Hit that spot on. There is no punishment so they think they can get away with it again and again, and they do. Gangs hanging round with knives and guns. Where are the armed police? Oh wait, we probably hardly have any now. We need those on street corners around the country showing force. Not with just a pistol, but with a machine gun. Get them patrolling parks at night. If they show the armed police are there and in force then maybe people will think twice about stabbing/shooting someone. Having them and not about as much as they should be is a waste of money.

Police are tied up with all the paper work that takes them hours on end after every arrest. No wonder they don't like arresting people. While they are doing work, they could be out patrolling the streets. Get them on foot as well. I always see them in cars and see PCSO's on foot.

As you also said, they can't give them a clip round the ear for back chatting to them. All the 16 year olds thinking they are hard men knowing they can get away with it.

PCSO's are a complete waste of time and money and resources, especially where I live, in north Wales, where the police force is still trying to shake off its image from the previous regime under the much-reviled former chief constable. If the government had any sense (or balls) they would ensure the "street bobby" is back on the beat keeping law and order in every town and city. As my dad used to tell me of stories that happened when he was younger, if the copper saw you do something wrong, he'd grab you by the collar, give you a clip around the ear and frogmarch you home, where your own father would then give you a good hiding and put to bed. Gang warfare was common back then but it was a drop in the ocean compared to what you get today. These days the youth don't have that discipline, and to some extent you have to blame the parents too for lacking control and discipline to keep their children out of trouble.

Unfortunately society has got worse and much of the blame is due to soft leftist laws that have been introduced over the last 2/3 decades. There is no respect any more. I also think they should bring back national service for those people who haven't got any aspirations in life once they leave full-time education. The policing needs to be radically changed, too often I've heard of police not pursuing matters due to the paperwork involved. Simplify the task, or even streamline it.... anything to make the police more pro-active and efficient, not reactive and sluggish. Too often in recent times its been "let's go for the easy target", which has let these yobs go out there and do what they like and get away with it, because the police would much rather be hiding in some bus shelter hoping some poor old motorist (already picked on far too much by the government) goes a few MPH over the speed limit.

But like I said, the government here are too busy asking "how high?" when some faceless bureaucrats in some other country tell them to jump to take any piece of notice.
