Not including conspiracy theories, and just looking at fact, isn't it true that over time societies that were at one point "secret" are now common knowledge. i.e. KGB, the Russian secret police. Even though they are common knowledge it's not like they suddenly disappeared with evidence of their existence. Also know that the "Illuminati" was founded on May 1, 1776, a real group founded just a month and four days before the final draft of the declaration of independence. Now talking about theories, the Illuminati are believed by some people to have existed for as long as the church existed, as a sort of atheist counterpart to the church. A possible organization which has existed for millennia could easily operate stealthily, even more so than the KGB, because if the American president was truly an Illuminati, wouldn't it make sense that the same time the Declaration of Independence was sent over, the Illuminati was established in America? Having the king no longer as their president, and having just established freedom, that gave a an 11 year window to establish an Illuminati secretly woven into the constitution, however off the grid. And for those of you who at this point disagree, consider that it is a counterpart to the church, meaning not believing in the Illuminati is almost equal to not believing in god or religion.
So not believing in the Illuminati is like not believing in something with no evidential basis and a large amount of delusional believers?
I actually agree with that, considering you're only helping the people who don't "believe" in the Illuminati prove their point.
Of course the Illuminati exists, but what you conspiracy theorists fail to realize is that every action is up to interpretation, and you're all taking it really far, probably in hopes that you'll be remembered for point out the biggest scandal in world history.
Good luck with that.
