(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); well recently i found out Scotland may be getting forced to change its national anthem apparently due to biggot/racist comments in the anthem (towards the english)

i think this is appauling im proud of my country and my anthem

for a tiny country we have accomplished so much, we've defeated many obsticles in our past wheather it be england, scandanavia or rome and are the largest part (over 85%) of the most specilized highly trained armed force in the world the S.A.S
i cant post the anthem for reasons of biggotory remarks but this is the tune

so what about you? are you proud or ashamed of your nation and why?

For the most part, I'm ashamed to be British. Whenever England play Scotland/Wales in football or rugby, near enough every time they boo England and sometimes vice versa. People don't understand it's the UNITED Kingdom and that England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Island should stand united together.

lol that remines me of something, the typical scotsman calls him self scottish, a typical englishman calls himself english but a typical welshman calls himself british

if your scottish you support 2 teams, scotland and who ever england is playing

like the english have for the french the scottish have for the english or irish have for britain thers too much history to ignore so we are taught distrust to each other in subtle ways, we dont start wars with eachother anymore so the booing ect at football matches is the "modern" way to show hate/distrust

the accomplishments that this small nation have accomplished is astounding we dominated the world we've done things that any other country could only dream of, we've had out lions share of inventors

because of history (and/or movies twisting the truth) in most of the world the english are disliked the irish are drunks and the scottish are loved (thanks mel gibson )

Don't be proud of where your born, be proud of what you've done..
Being born isn't something to be proud of. You had no say in it. It was total LUCK...

if you have no intrest in where you comefrom there nothing to drive you into the future or too look back on in the past

you should be proud of both imo if you arent proud of where you come from you have no desire to better youself and your country

No You're proud of something you had no say in?
Like someone saying "I was mugged! And I'm proud of it!"

What's done in the past is done. People alive today had absolutely nothing to do that what went on when England and Scotland had there tussles. Why should we hate eachother just become we're from different countries? I certainly don't.
