September 11th 2010 was the day everyone with a jailbroken PS3 started doing challenge lobbies. Some of you might see that as a "dark" period of time for NGU while other might look at it as one of the best moments in NGU history. For the following months NGU was getting at least 1000 new members every day and donations were at least $2000 for at least the two following months. For some members this might sound great (specially for Outsider) but for others it was extremely annoying and frustrating since using the shoutbox was almost impossible due to all the people asking to be invited into a challenge lobby.
I remember doing some research, some copy and paste a few days before 9/11. I made this huge thread, it was so big I had to divide it into two threads. During 9/11 I was getting some feedback on the thread and answering to the posts in that thread, until at around 10 PM eastern time I heard there was about 100 people in the shoutbox so I went to check it out and saw everyone talking about these challenge lobbies and everyone asking and even begging people so they can be invited into one of those challenge lobbies. That night I was up until 4 am waiting to be invited into one. It was taking so long I was considering paying $50 to the guy that was the first one to sell access to a challenge lobby. That's how I remember my 9/11/10 the day MW2 was forever changed!?
