Yes, and that's against the constitution and being fought still to this day. Another side note, they don't have to be and could instead take an affirmation. But the backlash of Christians would be political suicide.

Not completely true. There was like 3 presidents I think(maybe more) Who swore in with a Mason bible or what ever you call it.
