The legalization of marijuana could bring in more than 700 billion tax dollars a year. Billions of dollars would be saved with less people in prisons for minor drug offences.

Bro it would do the exact opposite. Marijuana prices are high because it's illegal. It's legal in my state and the prices are dropping massively. They will tax it yes, but the price will be less because of supply and demand. :y:

Just basic political science for ya, when demand rises, supply lowers - so the price would rise. If there were more supply, and less demand - the price would lower. Smile

In this case there would be more supply than more demand because there is already a high demand for it. Legalize it and there will be more growers, thus more supply.
