(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay, so me and my girlfriends' one year anniversary is coming up on October 6th, and we both told each other what we wanted as gifts.
I said she could have anything she wanted as long as she was gentle with the cost. I told her I wanted a North Face
jacket because winter is coming up and I need something besides my hoodies
to wear. And she wanted a pair of Uggs. I said fine, that's perfect. I take her to the mall to try on the Uggs, she says those are the ones she wants. I tell the lady to put them on hold (my friend Darryl was with us too) and I was going to secretly have Darryl buy them with my money, and take them to the car while my girlfriend and I went to the second floor.

So, I get the Uggs, and long story short, the surprised was ruined and she said that she didn't like the color.
It was fine, I returned them, got my money back, no big deal.
We go on the computer, she starts looking at Vera Bradley and Coach stuff. (Fort those who don't know, VB and Coach
make bags and wallets and that type of stuff) Keep in mind I said to her she can have anything she wants. She decided she
wanted a Vera Bradley wallet ($40) and a Coach Umbrella (around $30).
My problem here is that she HAS to get a Coach umbrella. (My girlfriend is not high maintenance at all, but when she buys something, its 'namebrand'Winky Winky I tried telling her that an umbrella is an umbrella, and she doesn't need a namebrand one. She said to me, "Why pay for crap when you can buy quality Charlie?" (Charlie is my name, just for reference) I told her, fine. Because I did say she can have whatever.

But am I wrong in my assumption that an umbrella is an umbrella? Why buy a 30 dollar umbrella when you can get the same
result/effect out of a $5-$10 umbrella from walmart or something?
*sigh*...the things I do for love...

For real? At least when I get it for her it'll be quality I suppose. Rather spend a little extra for one than a little bit every week for crap ones.

You've broke hundreds of umbrella's? How? I don't even own an umbrella and I don't know hardly anyone who even bothers to use them.
