A ELEVEN year old boy committed suicide after being bullied and harassed at school. I mean what has the world come to if younger and younger kids are committing suicide? Kind of makes you feel bad and sorry for the family...

Wow, this is so sad. School is suppose to be a safe & fun environment for everyone. How can that bully even pick on a crippled, motherless kid. He was already going through the pain of just walking & going up/down the stairs but he also got physically and mentally bullied too, thats just wrong. Poor, poor kid.

Is this all this forum is? Trying to spread awareness for shit we already know about?! Christ almighty we get it! We're all terrible human beings we treat each other poorly, people die for no'reason. Blah, blah, blah. Same stories, every day. It's like GD turned serious.

Yeah all of the bullying threads on this site seem a bit ridic... Im assuming most of the users here are pretty young comparatively to some of the other forums I frequent on... Looks like alot of kids that get bullied and feel like it should be a harsher crime or something. TBH as another poster said, MAN UP. At some point you have to be responsible for yourself and realize that a bunch of crap from a bunch of neanderthals is just that, a bunch of crap. Make yourself the kind of person YOU feel is right and don't worry about all of the rest.... School is not the last part of your life, in fact it is one of the first parts of it... getting bullied in school is not the worst thing in the world and you don't have to kill yourself or go all Columbine on someone every time it happens. Individuals need to take more responsibility for themselves, their actions, and even the situations they put themselves into. Take some initiative and don't be such a wuss. If your a crippled kid whose mom died of cancer obviously you are going to have bigger problems in your life than what some punk says, or takes (material possession) from you... and you know what else? All of the media attention on bullying only furthers these stories of suicide and such letting kids that didn't even know it was a possibility think that it might be a good idea, possibly without even thinking it all the way through... at what point can an 11 year old make a logical decision that he would be better off dead? Where did this idea that he could off himself come from? People with real life experience don't allow stupid things people say affect them that much and kids just don't have enough of it (real life experience). I think the focus should be shifted from anti-bullying to building personal strength as an individual and not allowing petty things that other people say or do effect you in such grandiose ways. Instead of coddling weakness we should be building strength as a community, and civilization. This is the only natural way to survive.

it goes to prove violence does solve the problem i would have layed the shit into that **** bully but man the kid killed himself with a plastic bag , poor kid... who bullies seriously theres a limit ...

that sadly doesnt always work,were i live its a pretty big shithole and even if u kept your mouth shut they would still aproach you.ive never had a problem with bullying but for anyone who does get bullied i would say the best thing to do is tell your parents and then try get your parents to tell the bullys parents,because im pretty sure if i was a bully i wouldnt want my mam or dad knowing and if they found i i would get in serious shit.but the worst thing ive ever heard of was a 15 year old getting bullied by a 18 year old and since he couldnt tell his parents he actually went up to him one day and stabbed him,he was lucky he lived.
