(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Right now i play on the freshman football team at my school. I'm a first string cornerback, but I don't have an offensive position. My season is ending next week and I need to train for an offensive position.

I want to be a runningback. I'm 5'6, 135lbs, and this past summer i ran a 5.6 in the 40-yard dash(i know slow) Imagine what i look like (no homo), do i seem like i RB?

So what I'm asking is: What can I do to train for running back? How can i get my speed up? And what do I need to be a good RB?

You need to drop whatever fat you have on your body, then work on building up your muscle compostition evenly, and run/weightlift to do it. Make sure you talk to a running coach, maybe go out as a sprinter for track, and learn proper form. Doing this, you will have a lower risk of injury, and increase your performance. It sounds easy, but it requires dedication.

Good luck! :y:

I suggest, Start running every weekend in the morning, and in school days run in the after noon, and also start watching what you eat, You seem to light. Start lifting weights and get more muscle. Awesome face

thanks for the help. 15% of it is fat. Idk how to weightlift as much as i need to. Theres nowhere for me to do it. Also how big should a RB be?

Well I suggest run 1 Mile, Then next week keep +1 Mile until 7 Miles, That should be enough, but as for muscle, start doing some benching, I'd say start at 70.

Ok some training things you need to do our sprint miles to get a fast time(improves leg strength and speed), do many hitting drills[especially drills were you play as the running back with a linebacker trying to tackle you, you must go head on and try to run over the linebacker](this improves your trucking ability, which is very useful, and will get the fear of hitting away), ok and one last drill I would suggest is shuttles[especially short shuttles](this improves your ability to juke and do counter plays). Ok so there are a couple drills for running back. Good luck bro. Also by the end of the next season it will really help if you bench around 175-225 it will help if you are a running back. Haha but to all lineman you want to be benching around 200-275 your sophomore or junior years.
