He then said no sorry it's not available and then I asked him if I could pre order COD Elite and he said "sorry sir we don't have that version of the game available" I just had to say forget about it before screaming "n00b" through the phone.

I live in NJ right in front of NYC, I've been to multiple gamestops in NJ, NY, and miami and they're all the same.
I had the Elite Beta for Xbox 360. It was stupid just to look at the stats etc. The only benefit of getting Elite is to get the maps packs, and that's literally the only reason why I got it.
But back to the Gamestop employee... You must live in the woods or a hick town. I have yet had any problems with GameStop employees like this.
