im asking this because ive got myself in a little situation. i recently started doing some not so good stuff which im not regretting, but i kind of feel like people are avoiding me because of it :/ i know i shouldnt care what others think about it but when my freinds invite me over to "talk" and it turns out its an intervention, im starting to see what they are saying

To the people that dont do dont do drugs, do u avoid people that do, or does it not change your opinion of the person?

medical marijuana is used in all sorts of cases from being found in studies to keep back cancer cell growth
it's a great headache or nausia how ever you spell that problems
people who have trouble gaining weight and are at dangerously low amounts of bf% also can be helped too

prohibition of alchahol gave rise to the capones, marijuana puts power in the cartels and government dude

And if all the people smoking weed where using it for it's medicinal purposes fine, but they're not smoking medicinal marijuana are they, they're smoking cannabis green so they can get high. Just be honest for a change. I'd be more willing to outright support drug legalisation movements if they just said "I want to smoke weed because I enjoy it", after all, I enjoy cheese on toast and that's hardly good for me (I'm a fat guy with a medical condition that puts me at risk for heart attacks, cheese is very fattening). Have some integrity rather than lying and claiming you're doing this for medicinal marijuana, we both know you're not.

I'd just like to point out, I don't smoke and I'm tee-total. I do not take ANY recreational drugs of any kind. Hell, I even avoid caffeine now, so again, your standardised comebacks are not going to work on me. Try again, think before you type.

What you don't seem to realise is I agree with you, I think cannabis (and most other drugs) should be legal as a recreational drug. The government has no right dictating what you can or cannot put in your body. It would be safer to the consumer who doesn't have to worry what it's being cut with and it would remove much of the power many drug cartels have as you say. You could also put tax on the product and make some money from it, as well as providing more jobs by now needing people to grow, package, ship and sell it legally which would help the economy. I understand this argument and agree with it... I think drugs should be legal, it's your choice if you want to use them.

I ALSO think you're a damn fool if you choose to use drugs. They fúck up your social life and your health, and squander your finances. They are nothing more than an unhealthy escapism habit and a crutch for people with larger deep seated problems. If you choose to take drugs that's fine, but that doesn't mean I have to like it or accept it as socially permissible amongst my friends.

If someone smokes or something, then there isn't any problem. But if its drugs like some shit like propofol then no, I'm avoiding those persons.

and honestly its not much of an escapism habit for me, it kind of shuffled where i am and who im friends with making things a little more interesting
im a much more social toker i guess
and what you do makes sense and congrat you on being straight edge
and im not someone who thinks everyone should have a joint shoved in their mouth
some things are good and bad for people i guess

Personally I do not drink nor take drugs or smoke. There are better things to do.

Back on the main topic, there is a negative social stigma on people who use drugs which is quite unfounded. Not everybody that takes drugs is a hopeless drug addict. Many successful people take drugs too, and not just musicians (really, taking drugs is almost a requirement for being a famous musician at this point). I smoke weed now, but I used to do worse, and yes people will look at you differently because of it. You have to decide what is more important, those people, or the high. For me the high wasn't worth losing my friends so I gave it up.

That's a hell of a drug . :dumb:
