im asking this because ive got myself in a little situation. i recently started doing some not so good stuff which im not regretting, but i kind of feel like people are avoiding me because of it :/ i know i shouldnt care what others think about it but when my freinds invite me over to "talk" and it turns out its an intervention, im starting to see what they are saying

To the people that dont do dont do drugs, do u avoid people that do, or does it not change your opinion of the person?

I used to do weed a lot, but then I stopped because it really isn't worth it. It gives you an affect for no more than 4 hours, at the most! I realised that I could be spending that money on more important things, like KFC.

I only smoke tobacco now - still a waste of money but at least it's something to do

Although I don't know your specific situation and it's quite a subjective question, if all your friends hold an intervention for you specifically regarding your drug use chances are there's a problem. And at this point you've gotta realise that friends and family are infinitely more valuable than getting high. IMO.

Honestly, the "you shouldn't care what other people think", line is a croc of shit. You should DEFINITELY care what other people think, especially when it's your friends and family. When it comes down to it, people who say that line are often doing it to excuse doing something they know they shouldn't.

Now, when it comes to drugs, I say do whatever you want, but honestly, I avoid people who do drugs completely. I even avoid people who drink large amounts of alcohol and I dislike socialising with smokers. Why? Because someone under the influence of a drug is unpredictable, they're usually less pleasant to be around and often it can become violent or tiresome. I see little value is sitting with a stoned guy who's laughing at the funny pattern on the ceiling, I find it pathetic. Likewise I don't want to be with someone who'd drunk either, I don't care about your pub-philosophy that only makes sense when you're pissed and I don't want to stagger around the street singing.

In the long run, and this is coming from someone who's high as a fúcking kite as I'm saying this due to the pain meds I take... drugs are a barrier to social activities, if you want to do drugs, do them in moderation and away from your friends, because someone on drugs isn't fun to be around. I know this is true, my moods change rapidly because of my meds, and my friends are good enough to put up with it, but I guarantee they'd rather I didn't need to take them.

I think the odd sesh is ok now and again as long as long as no crack or smack is involved.

Depends on the drugs you're using. I smoke a ton of bud but none of my friends look at me any differently. Hell, most of them smoke too.

Then maybe your friends are friends with you because they smoke too. Maybe people who don't smoke don't like hanging around you? Idk much about you, but that's just how that came across to me.

It all depends on what you've smoked, and don't every say that (who cares what others think) Because at the end of the day, you're effecting both your friends and family. Maybe they're worried about you're gonna die because of this (Depending on what you smoke). I suggest just discuss it with your friends and family.
