I know it's just a video, but I thought it would set off a better discussion here. This gave me the chills. The baffled, blank look on the faces of the policemen said everything. It was like they knew the marine was right, but didn't have the courage to agree. Anyways, watch this if you haven't already seen this and tell me what you think.

Kind of contradictory wouldn't you say? considering the local PD over here tends to blow things out of the proportion much more consistently.

Shot to death I mean, whereas a tranquilizer would have had the same effect and they could have securely returned the animals to their place. But nooooo, let's just shoot and kill them, right? Well, at least that's what their mind state is.

They had no choice but to shoot the animals, they weren't caged and literally running around the area. How could they possibly take the chance in using tranquilisers against animals that could kill you within 5seconds. Not to mention it was pitch black, how could they risk attempting to tranqualise a very dangerous animal in the dark, not knowing if the tranquiliser had any effect at all, or if it hit the animal correctly. (There's high possibility of it hitting a bone or not entering the blood system correctly, making it useless to my knowledge.)

Don't get me wrong, I had the same reaction as I'm a huge animal lover, but realistically they had to resort to shoot-to-kill.

OT: I don't believe all police officers are corrupt, but it's ignorant to claim that a huge percentage of police officers aren't. I think America has a bigger issue with police brutality rather than the UK though. I've yet to meet a corrupt police officer in my area. Some claim they have, but I think most people treat police officers with lack of respect and bring most of it on themselves. I'm always nice to a police officer and show them respect for what they do, and because of that I've never been arrested or had any problem with them.

I'm not saying that every police officer is an angel, I just think that the majority of the time people can make the situation worse than it needs to be. You see that a lot on police shows such as Night Cops, where people could have walked away and everything would have been fine, but instead they feel the need to be disrespectful and swear at police officers, then they claim police brutality when they're getting cuffed, idiots.

That's my view on it, some police officers are corrupt and don't deserve to be on the force, but people do bring it on themselves by disrespecting police officers.

I still think tranquilizers would have been the answer. Those tigers are pure awesome, but anyways.... It's not so much of corruption that I'm worried about. It's the way they treat the general population. The police have a bloated ego and that usually drives them to do unnecessary shit. One time while I was driving, some asshole pretty much cut me off. I was going at least 60 and this guy just turned into my lane from a side street and I had to pretty much overtake him because I couldn't have braked quick enough. So, I followed the usual protocol and honked a couple times and followed it with the finger. This must have pissed him off because then he ended up following me and when I parked, he pulled up and told me that I was lucky he was an off duty officer and that if he were on duty, he would've have given me a ticket. First off, I argued back and showed a lack of care for his little off duty line, **** that, I don't care. It was a back and forth argument and I can tell he was steaming. I on the other hand just thought it was funny. Either way, point of that story is how he threatened to give me a ticket when it was that assholes fault for cutting me off in the first place. My personal run ins with the bacon boys have formulated a negative view of them.

For those who missed the point, he's yelling at the police for bringing out riot gear on protesters who are simply occupying an area. Guns, tear gas, helmets, batons; you name it, they use it. He has a goddamned solid point. Where's the honor in "protecting in serving" by using weapons on those who are simply using their rights to stand up against what they believe is oppression?

First, these police would not have made that decision, their superiors would have. As I said in my first post, it isn't the right forum and not the right people to screaming at. The whole police force isn't corrupt, just a few nasty individuals.

I never said they were the ones to make the decision. They still should have some morality and not use riot gear on unarmed people. These police are cowards. I just read earlier the police used a bulldozer to break up protesters in Richmond. It doesn't come down to being corrupt, it comes down to doing what's right for the country. The police are as ****ed as the people protesting, they just have weapons and orders.

Are you high?
The actions of the police is almost like they want a reason to use riot gears and weapons. It is almost like they are instigating something... it's not right =/. Especially in occupy oakland when they used tear gas against a group of protesters and a woman in a wheel chair was caught in the crossfire . A protester was beaten in occupy Denver and i heard a veteran was shot with a rubber bullet. It's weird because i haven't HEARD any news about a police getting harmed in ANY way...i wonder why? Could it be that the occupations are a peaceful protest? Nah i think we need more rubber bullets, tear gas, and ,hell, why not consider the possibility of using lethal force(the police isn't really considering that xD :derpSmile. That sounds like a good idea against people who can't defend themselves. :y:

Well anyways, this marine has a point and this really did give me a chill when he started shouting at the police and the police, well, they just look dumfounded and just stared at him with their jaws dropped on the ground
