(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay, so my PS3 controller doesn't work anymore. (I think I got it wet) Sometimes the buttons work, and sometimes they don't :/ And its passed the one month return policy at walmart. So here's my idea- Go to walmart, buy a new controller(Same color) and then go home, put broken controller in new box and return in with some bogus story. So I basically get a new controller for free :y: Good or bad idea?

I say go for it... My brother did that in fact but with a PS3... he bought a PS3 that was 3.60+ & above so he plugged in his HDMI cable & he returned the playstation & said it didnt work they tested it & it showed a black screen cause they were to stupid to notice they had to hold the power button for 5 seconds... but yeah luckily he got a 3.50 PS3. Jailbroke It.. & UPDATED it.. but yeah... TRY IT!.. Winky Winky

Do it. If their return policy states something, they are required by law to fulfill it. The reason they have exchange and return policies is to partly protect against defective products. That is why you only get so many days, so you can realize that it doesn't work and exchange it; but you don't get too many days so that it has more time to break.

They can't arrest you. I have no idea what he's talking about.

I don't know their return policy, but whatever they say, they have to fulfill. Usually to retain some power, they'll say something like "a manager has final say," so that the system doesn't get abused. But must likely they won't even notice.

Why don't you just buy a new controller and throw away the old one? Live a fair life, man...

Do it, I do stuff like this all the time at gamestop. Whenever my xbox falls over damaging the game inside I just buy a new copy and "return" it or I just exchange the broken game for a new one. :y:
