You know Tomahawk sometimes there isn't anywhere else to go for an outlet. Plus when someone dies, there's usually a lot of sitting around with family, being sad and not talking. There's nothing wrong with hopping on ngu and posting a thread looking for some advice or comfort. This place isn't completely full of ass holes who just want to troll. I remember when my brother died, about 2 hours or so after we found out, and sat around crying trying to figure out wtf was going on, I hopped online and googled things just to keep my mind occupied. What is a person supposed to do? Not go on NGU because it's "not the place to go talk about things like that"? It's general discussion. Anything can be discussed here.

Plus, there's no reason for you to post something stupid like you did. If you don't agree with what he did, don't read the thread, don't post. Nothing you said could give any amount of contribution other than building up his tolerance for annoying little piss ant kids with absolutely no concern or feeling for fellow ngu members.

Gen Discussion isn't the place for a thread like this. I have utter respect for the dead but we dont need to discuss it or remember them here. What significance does this place have other than some 1's and 0's on a server somewhere

This is the place to discuss what ever we want. The guy was looking for a little advice from people who have gone through what he is, and we responded to him with help. That's the significance. Obviously you can't grasp the concept of reaching out to help others or the idea of a community.
