Its been jailbroken for about 5 months now. but today it started to play just the beat to music and not the words. i figured it was the headphones seems how they are about to break, so i tried new headphones. Its not the headphones, for some reason the ipod only plays the beat, and if you can hear the words it is super faint. you can barely hear them at all. Also i did dent the bottom of the ipod(where you plug in the charger) and i had to bend it back a little so i could charge it, but that was 2 months ago. Its worked perfect until now, does anyone know whats wrong?!!? Please help


EDIT: it does play music and words perfect without headphones in. Also plays fine on my ihome

Probably the headphone jack. If it's under warranty, take it to apple.

i bought the warranty. but i think it was only for 3 months....

If it's applecare, it lasts for a year after purchase i think

The headphone hole/jack is damaged. Time to go to apple unless you are out of warranty.

If the jack is having issues then best thing to do is put it up on Ebay and sell it and hope for the best. If you jam your jack in or bend it inside with pressure you can damage it, or if you get a little bit of water.

You can't return to Apple with a jailbroken device. You'll just have to sell it on eBay if you can't fix it.
