(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i was just thinking about it, imagine how many tax dollars it cost to pay for all the sports things, is it reallly worth it, can you imagine how much more money schools would have for other things, and some schools are near broke and spend a shit ton on sports, and this is just a thought, i dont play any school sports, so id be kinda biased, also i do like watching sports and do boxing, but what do you think?

Check out France. Schools don't pay for sports. But what it comes down to, is that if you want to play them, you can. If there is enough kids on a team each year, they cannot pull the team.

Also, I forgot to add that schools make a ton in ticket sales for football and basketball mostly.

I played football, the coach got an extra 30k for doing it, then he got to hire 4 others who got paid around 20k each, this is about 6 months of work, 2 hours after school each day, maybe 3-5 days a week.

Then the cost of repair to the field and maintenance, it cost my school around 160k each year after everything is paid off to have our Football team, then you have everyone else.

Too expensive in my opinion when that cash can be put elsewhere or used for other sports...

Schools do...........playing against each other :/
Unless am missing something and it different in the USA.
Think for the US some of your tax should go towards funding sports in schools. No way out of providing that for all kids for free or removing funding from other areas.

:wtf:

That is a huge waste of money. All I can imagine is they're doing it for all these moronic parents moaning about their kids not getting enough exercise. Running about outside is just as effective /facepalm

@ my High School you're expected to pay "dues" for most sports teams.

I think it's perfectly fine.
It's a huge benefit to students and believe it or not, your tax dollars are spent on things that are exponentially more ridiculous than school sports teams.
