(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok, I used to own a 2005 model Ford V6 Mustang with an automatic transmission. I didn't show it off but I was proud of my little stallion. It was a beautiful car with an excellent ride and amazing stereo. Taking it to school (I'm a junior in high school) I found that other people were not that accepting of my little blue monster. They were constantly asking why I didn't get the V8 or the GT like I had an extra few thousand dollars to spend (keep in mind this car was a XMas present from the folks.. I didn't even know they were getting it). This didn't change my opinion of my car but it did bother me a lot. Recently I hydroplaned into a bank and the bank flipped my car and totaled it. We had collision insurance on the Mustang so the insurance company finally settled with us last week and we went vehicle shopping. After seeing some things in our price range and what was mechanically sound we settled on a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 2 door 2WD with around 49.9k miles on it. I figured I wouldn't need 4WD regardless nor would I need 4 doors. I've never carried more than one passenger and the truck fits 3 plus the bed. This truck is in amazing condition condition and it's a better ride than the Mustang. I take it to school and sure enough, immediately the assholes flocked around asking about my new truck. They knew I had got one due to Facebook (sinspawn...) and they were eager to see what I (I meaning my parents) purchased. I show them and tell them the details. Not three seconds later, the group just shunned the truck totally because it was an older model, it wasn't a 4WD, and it wasn't 4 door. No matter what I have I will never please the crowd unless I'm a ****ing rockstar... Just wondering if people in your area are the same way or if you have a similar story.

Daddy's home.
What dicks. I can only imagine that their mummy and daddy earn shit loads and spoil them, and change their nappies.

None of my mates care what car you have because you have one. Ram their posh cars off the road with your truck and see who's shunning you then.

People are assholes out here in the west too. If you don't have a piece of shit civic with 18's on it, your car sucks according to them.

It's ok as long as you actually like the car. Some people don't realize the finer things in life, all they care about is materials. What you have,if you don't have the coolsest stuff yet you get bagged on,them always wanting more and never having enough. It's really just the way the majority of the world is.I know,80% of America is full of bastards stare

It's really sad how commercial the world has become. I no longer celebrate any holidays because of this fact. In 2007 I was sitting at my Christmas tree, watching my Nephew open presents. Once he was done, he looked at my brother and said "Is that all of them?". I was totally disgusted. I was shocked that this is how the world has become.

Kids today, bitch, cry, and moan until their parents buy them the best of everything they way. They don't understand what it's like to earn things for themselves. I had a similar story where some kid had just gotten a Dodge Viper at my school which his parents had paid for. Meanwhile I had just purchased a 1991 Nissan 180SX (Same thing as a 240, imported from Japan.) and they asked me why my car was 15 years old. None of them even knew in Canada you can't import it, if it's not 15+ years old.

The kids, had no idea I saved the $21K to import it, buy it and insure it for a year. They naturally assumed cause they have everything handed to them, I did too. I've been working 40+ hours a week, since I was 13. I haven't asked for a single hand out. Now sure, I understand your parents purchased the car for you, I'm fine with that for one reason. You admitted it wasn't even close to the top end model, and you didn't care. You liked it the way it was. Afterwards, while buying the truck, you took what you had and got what you could. You didn't bitch and cry that it was older etc. That's respectable. It shows you appreciate what you get.

Just my random thoughts on the subject.

Oh, and he totaled the Viper about 4 months later at the track. After he lost to me by over 2 seconds and I didn't even run juice.

Edit:

You also have to remember, and sure this is generalizing and stereotyping but whatever. 90% of the kids who trolled you about anything throughout high school, are the kids won't achieve anything in life, and will walk through it being a sponge.
