(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); there are literally an infinite amount of outcomes from one action, and an infinite amount of actions to achieve one outcome.

1) Yeah, but we debate for a reason. That is to enlighten one-another to our own reasoning & evidence to see if we can come to some sort of agreement, and maybe change the minds of the "opposition". Otherwise people would believe in all sorts of ridiculous things. Oh wait...

2) Having people in power who believe in God is wholly negative as their actions are most likely going to be affected by their belief. A belief which is founded upon no evidence whatsoever and either a lack of critical thinking skills or just raw ignorance. Neither of these traits do I want in my president, prime minister, mayor etc.

NOT literally infinite, just a stupidly high amount. And yes I think every action and event is set in stone but can't necessarily be predicted, because to do so would require information from outside the observable universe. We can and do predict the locations of electrons based on probabilities though, but as of now I think that every past, present and future event was going to happen anyway given the original state of the universe and everything and the laws of nature.
As long as there are absolute laws of nature, the events of the universe will roll out the same way if you restarted the universe with the same original state and laws. It is for this reason that free will cannot exist in a universe with absolute laws of nature. However we are given the illusion of free will in the form of chemical reactions which take place inside the brain. I'm not very educated in that particular subject but I have very basic knowledge and can use common sense and reasoning to fill in small gaps.

It is literally infinite. You could be sitting in front of your computer and a bicycle could come crashing through your window. That bike could be any color, with any combination of parts, and could be followed by a human being wearing any combination of clothes, and have any combination of psychical features. Although unlikely, it IS possible.

Space is finite. Time is finite.
Nothing is infinite :/
There's only so much that can fit into the universe (both space-wise and time-wise) And there are only a limited number of different particles. For example: a universe could be filled 100% capacity with Particle A for the entirety of time itself. OR it could be filled to 100% capacity EXCEPT one particle is particle B and the universe stays this way for the entirety of time. OR it could be filled 10 100% capacity EXCEPT one particle is particle B but one little bit of space over. OR.... you get what im saying? The possibilities are incredibly numerous, but are in no way infinite.

The easiest way to comprehend it is that it's just infinite -1, given that whilst there cannot logically be an infinite number of outcomes the amount of outcomes exceeds anything our mere minds can properly envisage.

Yes but, one more than the total amount possible would not be infinite either so it's really confusing hehe :S

I'm not saying he can't believe what he wants. Believe in fairies for all I care, I just asking his reason for believing it. It's always good to know others logic because sooner or later someone might actually be talking sense.
