I know what what you are trying to say but, IF people didnt drink and drive and drank responsibly then that would be fine. The alcohol companies want people to drink responsibly. If people did, a lot would be different.

If Weed isn't legal, then alcohol Definitely shouldn't be. It's much worse.

That's like saying if lollie pops aren't allowed then other candy shouldn't be either. That's extremely counter-productive.

this isnt true. alcohol has many benefits that have been overlooked. it can stop heart disease, help the mind, and it has been shown to lower cancer rates. however this is when consumed RESPONSIBLY. there are many negatives to it. it causes poor choices, its addictive to some people, and it leads to the loss of way too many lives (drunk driving, cancer, drunks accidents). every year you hear about a college kid falling off a balcony drunk, a kid who killed a family driving drunk, and liver cancer. i've been directly affected by it in my own family. it killed my grandpa and its killing other members of my family. however, i dont think banning it will solve anything. i believe the best thing to do is to teach people how to do it responsibly. but there are always people that say **** the man, i'm binging. people that say, "you cant tell me what i can put in me." then problems happen. people need to grow up, stop thinking they can do w/e w/o consequences, and learn their choices **** everyone else over too. i really think the drinking age should go down. countries with lower drinking ages have less problems. the US has the highest drinking age in the world. it is unnecessary and leads to kids abusing it.

Always Faithful
I think the people that get killed every year by drunk drivers also would like the choice to live. There are responsible drinkers but imo there is twice as many incompetent drinkers and I tend to think that if any one incompetent person behind the wheel didn't consume any alcohol an innocent person or persons would actually live to see another day which may have otherwise not.

Maybe it doesn't have to be banned but it's hard to say what else should be done...I know people that consider themselves responsible drinkers and the next thing I know they're doing something stupid like trying to drive somewhere so imo anyone is capable of doing it no matter how responsible they think they are but I think it's pretty sad that allot of innocent peoples lives are left to chance when it comes to intoxicated people making the right decision.

Personally when I drink I have full control of myself I'm completely coherent and I think clearly and I've never made a stupid decision as far as putting myself or others in danger but I have friends that when they drink they turn to cavemen that can't stop laughing it's embarrassing but yeah I don't know...I think people could live without alcohol maybe atleast if it were banned a smaller amount of people would be drinking and probably less lives loss to drunk drivers, it's not like people will no longer to get alcohol it would just be harder and take more effort and risk rather than driving to the local convenient store to buy as much as your pockets are deep.
