That's good. I'd suggest possibly making it an addition to the existing clan sections if it does get implemented. I doubt people will care much about it and use it for recreational purposes. Their rank on GB has much more meaning.
I agree that this won't replace GB however there are some clans out there that aren't quite at the MLG level and can't top the GB ladder so this will be pretty cool for the good but not AMAZING players.

I've been thinking awhile, there should be a NGU team/clan for ANY game title on ANY platform. That'd be pretty sick and probably get more people to join the site
