(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I know most of you should know this, but for those who don't I'll explain.

In short, all Wikipedia is doing is running a javascript, so simply put by disabling your javascript in browser you will then be able to access it all you want. When your finished just reenable javascript.

Google Chrome:
1. Click on the Wrench
2. Click on Options
3. Click "Under the Hood"
4. Click Content Settings
5. Scroll down and find Javscript, then check "Do not allow any site to run JavaScript"

Opera:
1 .On the Tools menu, click Preferences.
2. Click Content in the Preferences list. (Fig. 1)
3. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
4. Click the JavaScript Options button to open the JavaScript Options box. (Fig. 2)
5. Check the boxes that you want to allow.
6. Click OK.
7. Click OK.

Firefox:
1.Open up the options menu
2. Go under Content
3. Uncheck the Box that says Enable Javascript

Safari:
1. On the Safari menu, click on Preferences.
2. Click the Security icon.
3. Click on Enable JavaScript next to the Web Content section if it is not checked.
4. Close the Preferences window.
5. Close and restart Safari.

Internet Explorer:
1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. On the Security tab, click Internet.
3. Click Custom Level. (Fig.1)
4. Scroll down to Active scripting.
5. Click Enable (or Prompt). (Fig.2)
6. Click OK.
7. Click Yes.
8. Click OK.

I'm just assuming Wikipedia chose to go about it in this manner for convenience (for those who don't know javascript this code is running most likely on a time slot) and the fact it allows those with computer knowledge to escape it, as they most likely are already voting against SOPA.

Thank You

Or you can just click escape before it loads...(the page with the message on it)

OVER 9000!
The problem with that is you won't be able to use javascript on any websites at all.

A better option is to use an addon to disable it for specific websites only, like NoScript.

But then you won't need to bother to keep hitting escape.

You get your stuff on Wikipedia done, then you go back to other sites. No big deal.

:dumb:
You go on wikipedia to read > This blackout page appears > you read it > it tells you can disable it by turning off javascript
Unless someone is really that dumb and doesn't know how to turn off javascript, I don't see the point in creating this page
