You said suspension wise, so, both of you. Practically, you were simply defending yourself so you're not at fault. But many schools don't see it that way. Rather, they see both parties as being at fault, and think that there are "better ways" to resolving these types of issues than fighting back. What are those methods? I don't know. No one knows.

I'm not that kind of person who likes to fight, I prefer chilling out. However, I know I'm strong, so whenever someone is a dick to me, I just tell him I'm not afraid but fighting is an immature attitude and I don't want to. ( I'm 17 ) However, if he insists upon fighting, I kick his ass, I've only been beaten in one fight throughout my life, and I only got in few one on one fights using this technique.

Nevertheless, your case is different, you seem to be 14 or less, and if you do such as thing, you will be called a pussy or that crap. Simply, if this guy hits you, walk away, if he hits you again, just kick his ass. This will be SELF-DEFENSE, because you tried avoiding a fight but he insisted upon hurting you.

Finally, school never understands such a type of thing unless you head to the office, and claim you are being attacked, it's how things work in school nowadays, if two guys fight, they just suspend them both and never care about who started it, so a suspension shouldn't even concern you.

If you ever fail to do such as thing, and this guy starts to ruin your school life, SEEK HELP FROM YOUR PARENTS OR TEACHERS.

You were in the right if someone calls me out and wants to fight and keeps talking shit as long as they touch me first i have no problem putting them on their ass. You will still get suspended for the same length of time though which is dumb.
