(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Im doing a little research essay on media and its affect on _____, so I choose Medias portrayal of marijuana, and it's effect on kids opinions on marijuana. Basically, I'm not asking you to do my essay. I just want a 2nd opinion so I dont go in to the class sounding like a ****ing idiot. I'd really like everyone's opinion on marijuana, and the media's portrayal of them. This includes programs such as dare, above the influence, and red ribbon week at your schools, as well as how CNN or FOX portrays the drugs. With it, I'd like any facts, if you know of any, backing up your claims.

I personally believe the media's portrayal of marijuana depicts it as a scary drug, that many poor or unemployed people do and use, that scare kids into hating and fearing a completely harmless drug. I also feel that the programs such as dare wrongly portray marijuana, yet condones the consumption of more harmful "drugs" such as diet sodas, that commonly use a aspertin, which contains rat poison.

(btw, Im in an AP honors class with a bunch of stuck up teacher dick riders, who have never smoked, drank, dipped, or ****ing anything. (I t old this one bitch happy 420 last year on april 20th, and she lectured me and told the ****ing dean -.-)

Any opinions, for or against, are appreciated. Smile

alcohol is more harmful and toxic to our bodies and causes more deaths every year than weed. when weed seizures and busts are shown on the news theyre made out to be bigger than they need to be, not like anybody gives a shit bout some weed being found

my thoughts on it are the anti-drug ads(ones on t.v.) they over do it and make it seem like your gonna die (like seriously who smokes weed and puts a f*cking fist in there mouth?) its not addictive to a point. Its not physically addictive but mentally i would say so because it has the feeling like damm i wana get higher than last time and you just wana reach your the high you had the first time. Also it can and cant be a stepping stone drug because if you get "addicted" to weed your mostly likely wna try something else. It cant be a stepping stone drug by if you dont get addictive and just smoke to have fun not to be druggy(if that makes sense) you wont really care to move on to harder drugs. Some last thought from mee would be it does cause memory loss but you wont forget previous info only the info you learn high/where you put the remote. Lastly it DOSNT kill brain cells(there have been studies saying it might stimulate brain cells, I kinda believe it and dont. I believe it because you can get into deep conversation of how a door-nob works for 30 mins, and you probably wouldnt think that hard if you wont high just to figure out how a door-nob works

At least I can fight
When kids find out that marijuana isn't harmful, then they will think that other very harmful drugs also aren't harmful and they will harm themselves.
