It has completely eliminated the creativity aspect of music. Every mainstream rap song is about the exact same shit. That's what i'm trying to say.

Not at all, not every rap song is about the things you listed.

I was exaggerating when I used the word "every." But, the majority of the mainstream rap is all exactly the same now. Almost every song is party bullshit or corny punchlines that amuse the weak-minded, and have no meaning. But there are the very few like Lupe who actually have lyrical talent.

Do 15 year olds spontaneously combust if they listen to music from the 60's? Just because you weren't born doesn't mean you can't go back and listen to music from that decade. Some of my favourite films are from the 70's, and my favourite music is from the early 80's, I wasn't born in the 70's and I was a baby for most of the 80's... I know a 24 year old who listens to late 50's music and almost nothing else. So why can't he say "music was best in the 60's"? It's not like it's all been destroyed, you can still listen to it today.
