(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi NGU, i have some bad news i have been diagnosed with an inguinal hernia and this is what it is:
A inguinal hernia is when a piece of intestines have been pushed through a part of the stomach that has been torn caused of too much straining for me i have been doing too much weight lifting and sports. The lump is in my right groin and causes me a lot of pain in my stomach.

So i have been booked in to the hospital for x-rays and get checked up then hopefully get the operation a few weeks after.
After i have had my operation i won't be able to attend school for 4-6 weeks as my stomach muscle needs to fully recover and i can't do much walking for the first 3 weeks as i will be in a lot of pain.

So i just wanted to share this with you as i feel like i wanted to tell my fellow NGU friends!
Also i will probably be online nearly everyday and all day after the operation as for the first week or so i will be stuck in bed as moving will cause me alot of pain.

So Please feel free to post anything you like but please no hate posts or anything inappropriate, as this will be my first operation and i don't want to be put off and i just don't want to be bullied for this.
Thanks Dan. Gobble

A Storm Approaches.
Hey man, hernia operations aren't a big deal... you'll be fine. As someone who's been under the surgeons knife I can assure you that you have nothing to worry about, it's a small incision and a little black silk to hold everything together. Black silk is strong stuff, it's a bio-fibre designed to be undetected by the body and it's twice as strong as steel so you'll have some pretty strong stuff holding your intestines in.

Anyway, have a good time, seriously. Go in there positive and it'll all work out well. I love hospitals. It's a building I go to when I feel like crap, where people tend to my needs and I leave feeling better. You go in with this attitude and you'll not have a problem. As for your recovery, well, I am always, will be dossing around the house now that I'm officially "unfit for work" (still sounds weird to me), so I'll have someone to talk to. You can moan at me about your pain and stuff in the shoutbox and tell me how your meds are keeping you awake one day and knocking you out the next... that's always fun.

I hope you're feeling better soon, and wish you speedy recovery.
