The above is the entrance test (not the actual exam, it's like a mock/specimen paper) for an application to gain a UK VISA. In other words, you need to pass this to gain entry into the United Kingdom and become a UK citizen.

75% is considered a pass.

Haha I assume they have to go in to some sort of hall for the exam.

It is incredibly hard though, must take months of revision and whatnot.

I got 9 out of 24 (38%); obviously I failed. Oh well, I guess good ole Canada will have to suffice.

That test is an absolute shambles.

Half of the answers they give are wrong also. For instance, I run a business and employ the odd immigrant when needs be. When I do that, I ask for a covering letter and proof of ID and that they're legal to work in this country. This is the correct way as confirmed by my solicitors.
That test just tried telling me that it should be a covering letter and a CV. Now, why would I, as a possible employer of this person, want a CV from them telling me their grades at lower school level and their past experiences? That will bare no relevance to the job/task they'll be doing for me what so ever and provides absolutely no guarantee/insight in to that person.

Tests like this are a joke. Who would want to do a history exam to enter any country? To be honest, if you live in the past you will never look to the future. That just about sums up England and the UK. We live on past experiences/conquests and then question people about it.

Interesting to see that the test's answer is different from what is actually in practice. Possibly what is being done is not what is actually supposed to be done?
