Lil Wayne used to be decent but he has gotten progressively worse as he became mainstream. Most of his songs nowadays rely on the chorus being catchy and the beat being nice as opposed to strong lyrical content or actual rap. In the words of some guy on Youtube, Worldwide Choppers (song by Tech Nyne) has more lyrical content than The Carter III.
