(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay so the staff has been talking about rep (yet again) and about how the prestige system combined with the caps on rep have made it significantly harder members to earn rep and climb the rankings. Not to mention it's nearly impossible for members who have registered after the rep cap to even have a chance of catching members who were around and active before it.

Now this thread is a poll to see what reputation system YOU prefer, the current, the one we have now, etc. etc.
Please keep in mind that this is just a general consensus to see what you all prefer, and if one 'wins' the poll, that doesn't mean that system is being enacted. We're just looking for opinions.

Personally, I believe the best reputation system to be the one that was here when I joined - Not regulated at all. No +/- cap truly let members get what they deserve out of their hard work or bad posts. The more effort you put into things, the more effort you'd get out of them. It promoted activity in my eyes, and that is how I would want it to be now. Rep boosters or people who exploit and abuse it would have a more harsh punishment.

:lol: Holy shit I only just realised what you where on about, my bad I didn't even notice we had the "Add to this users's reputation" button back, I don't care about rep :P so pardon my misunderstanding.

I change my mind to: +60/-30 Rep system we have now without prestiges.

It would be a nice warning for us users to see if someone's clearly trolling beforehand by having a look at their rep.

There either needs to be a -Rep cap or an option to allow users to choose how much they want to -Rep a person. This way people aren't destroyed by a single -Rep.

Old system would be nice but we need a few restrictions. Like if 1 guy had 10k rep, and fell out with another, and -rep'd him, it would be chaos.

I prefer it back before rep prestiges, rep prestiges are pointless :fa:

I hate the fact one gold star is is the limit right now.
I want the old multiple stars back :y:

I prefer It they way It was when I joined too.

To be honest since It's been capped you don't see that many people anymore striving to help people out or to post useful content.

I'm not saying rep is the only reason people used to post but It played a big part as a lot of people's goals on this site were to reach their gold star, silver star etc etc

So yeah I want the old system back, It worked the best :y:

I've never cared about this rep nonsense but for what it's worth I did prefer the old 'uncapped' system.
