(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well, today's the day. Easter sunday. For a lot of Christians, it's another weekly celebration of mass, with an added celebration of Jesus rising from the dead. But for others, it's time to break out the sunday dress for the first time since Christmas. These people are a breed all their own, and are known simple as "creasters". Now, what is a creaster? According to UrbanDictionary.com, a chreaster is:
Those Christians who only show up to religious services on Christmas and Easter.

Now, personally, I think it's amusing to watch the creasters on Easter, because you can tell right away that they don't fit in. They're always looking around, seeing if anything new has happened, and most don't know the responses. Are you guys creasters? if so, why? and if not, what do you think of creasters?

Interesting you should mention this because it reminded me of what used to happen at our local church.

The Parish Priest at my local Church was known for "having a go" at the creasters. At the Christmas/Easter masses he would give everyone a massive lecture about why they shouldn't just turn up at Christmas and Easter.

Reportedly he was very angry. Unfortunately, his efforts had an opposite effect. Because he was quite threatining about the whole situation, people stopped going to mass completely.

He passed away quite some time ago... RIP.

R.I.P.

I can see why he's angry, but we as Christians are taught to welcome everyone. I don't think scolding people for not going to church is the way to go..
