Alright so I'm 15, going on to the 10th grade in August. And I played on the freshman team as CB last year...sadly going 0-7 to finish the season...I never got burned or caught on so I feel somewhat accomplished.
I had a couple of my friends tell me that I looked like a runningback, considering my height (5"6) and my questionable speed (last time I check a year and a half ago, I ran a 5.6 in the 50-yard dash) ----> But I know I've gotten faster.
Right now, all the coaches have done is lined us up, having me at 6th string receiver, which is DEFINITELY not where I wanna be right now...but they also said that my spot on the depth chart is subject to change on how well I show my skills on the field.
I was wondering how I could get my speed down to about maybe a 4.6 by August?
And how to be a successful RB?
How I could possibly get the coaches to put me at RB?
And how to stand out?
Also, since I'd really like to play both sides of the ball, which defensive position would better fit me other than corner?
any help is greatly appreciated.
