Of course there is a debate here and it is usually between the two groups of Science vs Religion, but there are also a lot of other creation stories that could be off the top of your head which are equally viable than all the rest. In an R.E homework we once had to create a story of how the world and life was made and i put 'It was already there with everything in it' which my teacher didn't like very much :p. Just post how you believe it to be made. It can be based around fact, religion or even just made up right now off the top on your head.

abiogenesis explains how life was formed. evolution explains how it changed once it already existed. they're two completely different things.

The question should be "Why was life created?". Life is so messed up and I have no idea what it is for.

Just look in the evolution of man chart. We first started off as tadpoles or flies. I forgot which one. I think we also came from those tiny dinosaurs but I forgot what they were called.
