(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); New York, the Big Apple, could be home to what I perceive is the most mixed up criminal justice system in the Western World. The reason I say this? Well You must login or register to view this content. has come to the conclusion that just viewing child porn on the internet isn't illegal as you aren't downloading it. Let's just analyse this for a moment. You could spend hours going all over the internet viewing child porn and it isn't illegal? Do the courts not know of caching? You know, downloading images to your computer so they load faster? It appears not! Saying this, there are occasions where you may stumble across it by accident like someone posting it on /b/, but I feel that if you go looking for child porn, you should suffer the consequences.

As if that wasn't enough, New York are now putting legislation in place You must login or register to view this content.. I'm not expert in American law, but doesn't this violate the First Amendment?

So if you love looking at pictures of naked children, and not having any privacy on the internet, New York is the place for you!

RIP PICHU.
By downloading, they use that means of Viewing and saving onto your local hard drive outside of the cache system. Websites can have hidden images, CP, in them and if you say that if anyone with it in their cache should be prosecuted, then what happens if it is you with it in your cache without knowing that you have downloaded it.

There needs to a new law written, one without loopholes but one that doesn't violate our right and our privacy to privacy.

In American Law, we as the people are protected only up to a point in privacy, it is still more of a privilege rather than a full blown right. It's why our schools and police stations can go search through our Facebook accounts without our permission. Go ahead, upload a nude image of yourself and privately send it to a friend. They can view that, even though you hit Private (Select Person A) or sent it via a private message.

The courts do know about image caching and that to even view an image on the internet you have to download it but they said that the image just existing in the cache is not enough to prosecute, I agree to be honest if you go on /b/ or somewhere on 4chan and some ass pained faggot decides to spam a thread with child porn should you be arrested, no clearly not. The erosion of internet anonymity is a bad thing though and I don't agree with that and I though the 4chan servers were located in New York so I'll be interested to see how this pans out.

Also can you imagine how full the prisons would be if everyone that had ever seen CP or had it in their image cache was arrested. Yer exactly and as above said you have to actually have the images somewhere on you computer that is not the image cache or on an external device to get arrested like that retard Thad.

I would not be surprised if 4chan is in NY.
