I'll start everyone off, who do you reckon England should play in their team and how do you think they will play? Do you think that the lack of belief towards the English team will allow them to progress through the tournament pressure-free?

Happy we're playing Italy, don't mind who wins (obviously want England) because I'm a 1/4 Italian
If we can beat them, we go on to play Germany.....it's a tough one, but if we play solid, i.e. Carroll instead of Welbeck we may pull it off, revenge for 2010 !

You're keeping this thread alive on your own bro! Questionable England performance as per, they played well when they had some clear direction and confidence - around about the time of the goal, but they still look shaky and unconvincing half the time and still look easy to get past on the counter attack. They just need some direction and a bit more creativity and they'll be alright imo.
I can't remember really seeing England against Italy before? Just looking through some records apparently they lost to them in 2002 at Elland Road - Fowler scored but 2-1. Played 2000 also lost 1-0. I don't think Italy will be that overpowering, they've looked a bit weak in past tournaments and only really look equal to England in this one. Fair match up?

So glad England won, all my friends in Australia are saying that ukrain should of got that goal, CLEARLY IT WAS OFFISIDE ANYWAY.

I should have written about that actually. Nah clear Ukraine goal and the dude standing on the line should never be on a football pitch again lol. Both sides had a few clear cut chances. But A draw would have had England through top anyway. Bring on the Quarters!
