Post: Unboxings are the gayest thing on YouTube.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Kind of a rant, but I wanna post it anyway.

First off, let's be honest: Who wants to watch a 15 year old boy unbox a case for his phone? Or a camera that his mommy paid for? Great, you bought a $70 case for you $600 iPhone, wow, women want you. Second of all, you're opening a box. Do you expect us to be like, "WOAH THE SUSPENSE OF YOU OPENING THE BOX IS REALLY RUSTLING MY JIMMIES MAN." Then they feel the need to describe the packaging. It's a box. With shit inside it. Then they ramble for 10 minutes about the product.

Does anyone else feel the same? Or am I the only one with rustled jimmies?

Youtube has made it so that anyone with a camera can upload whatever bullshit they want. Unfortunately instead of posting videos with some hint usefulness we get garbage like those you mentioned.

I hate them aswell. Unless it is a new product most people don't have. Then I may watch it to get an idea of the product.

The only way I would do one is if I were paid.

Some people do them, and then link the product on amazon in the description and when the users buy it they make commission.

I agree, I've seen a few of them and some people get straight to the point, they show the box, give a little background on the item and then go with it and then just open it showing off anything important inside then show off the item. Video then ends.

Those, I don't mind but the kids going on and on and on... it makes me just want to spend the next year bruting their YouTube account and then deleting their account.

I watch unboxings :fa: Only by big YTubers though, not by some kid, I just look at them to see what you get in the box :fa:

I think the point of those videos are for showing the contents of the box.

I never really understood why people do them. I have watched a few in the past, but that was only to find out what was in the box.

Yes, it is pretty funny when they start describing the packaging :p

They usually come with these items:

Instructions
Fuckloads of plastic
Screen protector (iPhone cases)
