I really want to go but i know my parents won't let me, so i told them that i was going to a sleep over with a mate. But now there saying that they want to speak to my mates parents before they will let me go.. obviously I'm not going to a sleep over so i have no one to phone. How could i convince my parents to let me go without them phoning anyone?

I saw this was an old thread but since I'm a parent I just wanted to say something...

If my son would go to a party (get drunck etc.) without me knowing it, he would get a tell off.

But if I would find out he had been lying to me things would get worse for him....

Bottom line, always tell your parents the truth, truth might hurt but lies are worse...
