Basically, all my friends are having a massive party and people will be drinking and other stuff... I really want to go but i know my parents won't let me, so i told them that i was going to a sleep over with a mate. But now there saying that they want to speak to my mates parents before they will let me go.. obviously I'm not going to a sleep over so i have no one to phone. How could i convince my parents to let me go without them phoning anyone?
thanks!

Learn to lie real well, keep a straight face, and tell them you are wanting tohang at a friends house. Clear it there, and you and "they" just so happen to visit the other friends at the party. In a way you didn'tlie and you can still attend, just keep an alibi handy. It helps if you have some older friends to cover for you.

tell your parents the kid's parents don't speak english.
The following 5 users say thank you to O.P for this useful post:
I would go to my friends house first and just tell my parents I don't know what's happening yet and that I might stay there or I might not. That way they probably won't think anything is up. Then later I would just text/call to ask and say it was alright. If they still want to talk to his parents and it's late you can say then say their parents are already in bed like someone else said in this thread.

That might make it worse.

Depends where you live. If you happen to live by the beach in Florida like me, it will work perfectly. 49% of people in my county are hispanic, 29% are white, 12% are black, and the rest are others. About 20% of people's primary language is spanish, I have at least 10 friends whose parents don't know english legitimately.
